bit of research

so there are a couple of areas i need to do some visual research on:
-old man
-skylines
-tarot cards
-butterflies


old man
















old people are quite fascinating, the fashion, the way the carry themselves, and the general way they are. slow, settled, intrigued and usually quite humble.

i like the images i found of them on benches, our film all takes place around a bench so i thought the photos were quite relevant to our project.



skylines

im not working on the skyline at all i dont think apart from the compositing side of it. but here are some interesting images i found.















tarot cards

i dont much to do with these either but thought it would be both interesting and worthwhile to look at them anyway.








looking at these two styles of cards, i think i prefer the first set. the older more traditional looking designs work better due to their whole nature and mystical prowess.


butterflies

it will be my job to model the butterflies for this project. i will be modelling two different versions, a lower poly less detailed version for the swarms, to help with playback and rendering. this should be fine due to none of the shots being too close to them. then a higher poly more detailed, realistic looking butterfly, this will be the butterfly at the end of the film, this one will be in quite a close up shot so will be more beneficial if it were highly detailed.


these are just some initial images of butterflies, it is lauras job to design the butterfly ready for me to model. so this is just to give myself and you guys an idea of what i will be aiming towards.
